Has any body added the Post Sp3 for exchange 2000? We are having this error occur after the server has been running for 2 weeks and it is annoying rebooting every other week to clear it.

GaryRumson,

Remove the /3GB option from the Boot.ini file.

Peping

There is no /3gb option we are running server 2000, not advanced server. That switch should only be used for the later of the 2 OS's

Try installing service pack 4 for Win2k.

Cheers.

Make sure your paging file is static (of a fixed size) and defragmented (In one block). You may need a third party defragger to defrag the page file.

A good trick, although it may be too late, in order to avoid swap file (paging file) defragmenting is to create it in it's own partition when you first install your servers.

If you have 1Gig memory and want a 2 Gig static swap file, then create a 2.5 Gig or larger partition and drop the swap file in there. Also, leave it in FAT32 cause it's faster than NTFS.. there is no real security risk since the file is always open (cannot delete) and since it's fixed size, something or someone filling up that partition with junk won't cause your system to run out of swap space.

The only small problem is that upon reboot, you will get a warning on your logs saying that the partition is low on disk space. There is probably a way to get rid of the warning, but I just ignore it.

"In space, nobody can hear you click..."

Of course you mean physical partition on a separate HD...
