I have a unique issue here and I am not sure if it is Outlook related or Exchange related.

I have an application on my system that I frequently send emails out from. Everytime I send it, I get a warning message from Outlook stating " another application is trying to send an email through Outlook, this may be a virus. DO you wish to proceed? Yes or No?"

What I would like to do is have Outlook recognise this other program as a valid program to send email through so that I do not have to keep hitting "yes" everytime I send an email.

Amy clues if this is possible?

Thank you kindly!!

In my case that would happen during the HotSync with my palm device. You can check an option of always allow and not worry about it unless you have no knowledge of an actuall app accessing your mailbox.

Thanks guys, that article was very helpful. The app is a home grown one from our developers so I am sending this info over to them to see if they can come up with a solution using the research here. I really appreciate your help!

We had the same problem with Compaq Insight Manager and Outlook XP. We went back to Outlook 2000 as in my view it's just as good, and a lot less hassle.
