I have a Windows 2000 Small business Server PDC running exchange. We contracted MyDoom yesterday which have successfully removed. Now we cannot recieve any mail through exchange. We have an external mail server and use POP3 and SMTP through exchange to get and send our mail. Internal mail is functioning perfectly but we cannot receive external mail. I have checked the POP3 server settings and Set the logs to maximum and I can see all of the mail coming in to the server but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. The mailboxes in the exchange System manager do not get extra mail messages. I have checked the mail server and the messages are being removed when the server checks them. Send mail through SMTP is functioning fine. Is this another part of the MyDoom virus or an incorrect setting?
Please Help!!

A virus should not affect your Exchange operations, UNLESS you opened and activated the virus on the server itself

If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Have you tried restarting your SMTP Service or even rebooting your server? Perhaps your SMTP service is hosed up. You could also try clearing the badmail queue. See thread858-725603 if the badmail queue is filling up this could also cause problems wth external SMTP traffic.
