I need to set permissions on a mailbox but I need to grant a specific permission to a specific user on a folder and all subfolders within an exchange mailbox. Unfortunately, Outlook provides no way of applying permissions recursively. It was suggested that I use the Mailbox Rights option from Exchange System Manager or set the permissions via the M:\ drive but according to the Microsoft Knowledge Base, doing so will prevent me from ever being able to use the standard Outlook permissions dialog box on that mailbox ever again. Does anyone have any idea what my options are here? Thanks.

So there is no way to recursively set permissions on an Outlook folder and all it's subfolders?

Never tried. You could always use a public folder you can do propogation of permissions on them. Dan

I know that when you create a new public folder, it inherits the permissions of it's parent .. but where do I go to propagate permissions recursively on already existing public folders? I have not seen an option to do that.

Thanks!
