I've recently set up a test server running Exchange 5.5 on Windows 2000 (my boss wisely doesn't want to deal with Active Directory). I've set up most of the server, and it seems to be working fine when we receive mail to the server. However, every time that we try to send email to the internet, we get a 550 relay is prohibited message. I have set up prohibitive mesaures found on tek-tips to prevent spam relaying. However, we need to use relaying as we will be using IMAP4. We now think that the server doesn't recognize our email address as internal and is therefore blocking it. Any hints or suggestions?
Thanks a lot in advance..
