Hey All,
Looking to Cluster Exchange 2000 Enterprise can anyone point me to directions on how to do this. Also do I have to have identical hardware to cluster or can I accompolish failover in some other manner. Please suggest products if possible.
So, if I buy two new servers and make them identical is their anything specific hardware that I need to buy to use Microsoft's Clustering Service. Also, I am considering using 2003 Exchange.
Make sure that you have a connection to a SAN device for your databases and the such.
The clustering is rather simple, but can be very scary if you have not done it before.
It does not have to be identical hardware, but it is recommended. As long as you have two boxes that can run Exchange (in the event of a failover), you will be in good shape. Just make sure that the bigger and better and faster box is your active node.
