Exchange 5.5 linked with Exchange 2000?

Hello Everybody!
Good I am with the following situation:
My company has a server now installed and configured Exchange 2000.
We bought another company recently where in her it has been installing Exchange 5.5.
I am wanting to insert Exchange 5.5 in my organization Exchange 2000, tying the exchange 5.5 in the exchange 2000.
That is possible?
