IS-IT--Management
Hi,
I'm running Exchange 5.5 SR1 in an NT4 environment and have come across the following error when trying to create a new mailbox:
This e-mail address already exists in this organization.
Microsoft Exchange Administrator
c10312e7
The error comes up when I try to amend the SMTP address for the new mailbox.
Unfortunately, I can't locate any existing mailboxes which have this SMTP adddress, as I can't run a search on the email address field and it's a very large Exchange organization (much too large to search each mailbox in turn manually).
I've tried resolving the email address via Outlook (Ctrl+K)and checking the Properties for the resolved address, but it only shows the email address itself again and not the associated mailbox.
I've searched Google for solutions to this problem but they all seem to relate to Exchange 2000 and the Exchange 2000 system tools, which I don't have.
Can anyone advise me how to proceed? Any help will be much appreciated. Many thanks!
