Hello all

I just installed exchange 2003 in LAB network before full deployment in the real world.

The server working great including outlook users in the LAB but there one think that giving me problems and it's the outlook web server.

Every time I'm trying to access the OWA using:

I'm getting and error message saying "Access denied"
I checked that IIS is up and that virtual server in exchange manger is enable.

Did i miss something?
I notice that i don't have the M: drive in the new server compare to the old server?

Is the M: drive need to be on for OWA?

Thanks for your time.

Simoni,

In Exchange 2003, the M-drive is no longer used. So, the problem could not be related to that.

Can you browse to (which should show the default IIS website)

Are you using a proxy-server on the network (i.e. you can specify not the use the proxy server for internal addresses...)

Any further info is requested

Good luck,

Peter

Thanks for the help.
i fixed the problem by uninstalling IIS and installing it again but if you uninstall IIS you need to reinstall exchange server.

So do it only if you can't find a way to fix it.

If you uninstall and reinstall IIS, you only need to reinstall OWA, not the whole of Exchange.

according to microsoft you need to reinstall exchange.
but how can you reinstall OWA?

OK, semantics. You click the reinstall option which only checks the files and sorts them out rather than a full installation of Exchange Server application.
