Hello all,

I have install a new exchange 2003 server on a Windows 2000 server that is connected to my domain. Its as a standalone server not a domain controller.

The installation was sucessful no errors and I did all the forest prep etc before the install.

The error is:

LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory SERVIDORFS.fsegura.esp for distinguished name ''. Directory returned error:[0x52] Local Error. DC=fsegura,DC=esp

For more information, click
I have run dcdiag.exe and netdiag.exe and there are no errors. My DNS is all good with no problems. All servers on my network have can see themselves.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob

Hello.

Any idea why is causing it? I did not install any LDAP features. How can I remove them or get rid of the error?

Thanks,

Rob

It's listed in the winldap.h header file. You can download the platform SDK to get all the headerfiles, and grep through them for the error codes.

Not very descriptive, is it? Neither was:

although it does list all the LDAP error codes. Is there anything interesting in the domain controller logs?

Nothing that really helps. What is exchange server doing? Trying to contact the DC via LDAP on port 382 or something?

The error only happens in the space of two minutes each day. It's like it need to update something??
