Is it possible to create Rules Wizard type sorting on the back end as opposed to the client side? If it is possible please advise...

Thanks in advance...

any rules created via Outlook that DO NOT require access to objects beyond the scope of the server (like personal folders) can be server-side rules, and you should be given the option to make them so when you define such rules.

I just finished adding a new Exchange 2000 server to our domain, and I'm almost ready to kick out our Exchange 5.5 server.

I moved all our users' mailboxes, and everything seems to be going ok.

The user rules got moved along with the upgrade, but many don't work anymore. I checked the rules, and I even re-created some. But they still don't want to run. Any ideas?

how did you integrate the Exchange 2000 Server into the 5.5 organization?? did you use EXMERGE to get the mailboxes over to the 2000 Server?

i pretty much moved mailboxes individually, or selected a bunch of users at a time and did 'em in groups -- all manually -- via active directory.

So now they are all on the Exchange 2000 box.

I think some rules are working tho -- it's difficult to understand why they would not work right away.
