Recently we are unable to view or change permissions with in public folders in Outlook. We have an Exchange 2000 server at one site and Exchange 5.5 at another site. We have never had an issue until today. When I opened Exchange System Manager to see what was going on, nothing is listed under public folders. If I drill down under the actual server and then to Public Folder Store, it lists them all, but if I click on one I receive "The Operation failed due to an internal server error" ID #c1030af2. I looked up the errors but haven't come up with much. I did happen to look under public folders on our 5.5 server and for whatever reason, almost all public folder show the 5.5 server as the Home server, which isnt right. Everyone can access and create appointments fine, but we can't delete or change any permissions, there isnt even a tab. Any ideas? thanks

Did you ever get this fixed? I have the same problem.

In our instance, we had upgraded our sole 5.5 server to E2K and now when we attempt to pull up the properties of the public folders (in order to delete them or change permissions) in the System Manager console, we receive the message "The Operation Failed". We do not have SP3 installed, was wondering if you tried that yet?
