We are currently installing an Exchange 2000 server into a development W2K domain in readiness for a roll-out. We have connected to the existing 5.5 server with the ADC, and have populated AD with these accounts. We then ran the Forest/Domain preps, and then the install for exchange. It gets to beginning to create the services, then throws up the following in the log file...
[11:19:44] Entering CAtomSystemAttendant::ScCreateServerLevelSystemAttendantObject
[11:19:50] szLookupServer = 'DNS&DC1', m_strName = 'Administrator', m_strDomain = 'USERDOMAIN' CTrustee::ScLookupSid (K:\admin\src\libs\logic\security2.cxx:876)
Error code 0XC0070005 (5): Access is denied.
It appears that the install program is trying to use the Admin account (also the Exchange 5.5 service account) from our old NT4 domain (we guess), but we're a bit stumped as to what to do about it, as you don't appear to be able to change it during the install.
Any ideas gratefully recieved!
