Hi
This is is question I am asking following the fix of an exchange issue by an outside company
Our exchange server required fixing for the following issue, but I can't seem to find any information on what may have been causing the error in the first place.
I am about to study Exchange MCP and any information I can get on different issues helps as I believe experiance is better that reading a book
Basically, the box is an Windows 2000 SBS, 512 MB Ram
All Service packs etc installed
The error, one morning, users could not open emails received since a certain date in August, same date for all users.
Emails prior to that date all opened ok
When a user received an email, the message appeared in outlook along with the subject line etc, however, when the user tried to open the item they received an "Item cannot be opened error" This also appeared in the preview screen
Users could however send emails to external users who received the mail ok
Could this have been a corrupt mailbox store?
As I said, this issue was fixed with no lose of email, just wondering what may have caused the issue
Thanks
