I started a Mobile 5 thread ( in the wrong forum and seemed to have resolved the sync issues now.

But the Direct Push is not working. All manual sync's seem fine but when a email hits the inbox the user doesn't rec it on the PPC.

I have check boxed on the Exch server--Exch Mobile Devices properties:
Enable user initiated sync
Enable up-to-date...
Enable notifications to user specified...
Enable Eriect Push over HTTP(s)

Device Security is not set currently for testing.

Outlook Mobile Access
Enable Outlook Mobile Access (not sure this is needed?)

Is there something I am missing or a way to track why the PPC is not getting a copy through Direct Push.

i thought direct push has not been released yet..

allow me to rephrase.

after exchange sp2 was released DP was added as a feature, but most (if not all) wireless providers here in the states don't support it yet. ie their devices dont support the dp yet, and will be patched or just released in new hardware.

the motorola Q apparently is ready to support it, and VZW just has to flip a switch to turn on the capability.

Are you using any type of automation or just manual syncs by the user?

Does the SMS update notification work and how seemless and/or confusing is it for the user?

If all the requirements for DP are in place eg
Phone Supports
Exchange Supports (SP2)
Carrier Supports

Is there anything else needed to get MS DP working. Does the DP technology require any extra software on the server or desktop besides Exch 2003 SP2?

A Telus rep just told me we needed to subscribe and then install either the Telus Enterprise Server (TES) or Telus Desktop Redirector?
