EXCEL: Using VLOOKUP with Blank cells 1

I am using a look table to change some letter to numbers.
e.g
A=1
B=2
C=3

The trouble is some cells are blank, and return a
#N/A value. I'd like it to return a blank cell.

Any Suggestions?

Try =If(ISNA(VLOOKUP(...)),"",VLOOKUP(...))

Hi Steve,

This formula will work...

=IF(A2="","",VLOOKUP(A2,tbl,2,FALSE))

You'll notice I've assign a range name to the table. I've named it "tbl".
