I am having problem with the 12:00 am time. If a person works from 5:00 pm to 2:00am I get the answer of 15 but it should be 9. I know it is just doing the difference between 17 and 2 which is the 24 hour number. Is there any way to make this happen. thanks Tessam

Hi,

Time is part of Date. Date is the INTEGRAL part, Time is the FRACTIONAL part. The units of Time are parts of a DAY.

If a person works from 5:00 pm to 2:00am, then the DAY (INTEGRAL) part of the Date/Time value get incrimented by ONE.

You need to enter the values as Date and Time
[tt]
1/25/2005 17:00
1/26/2005 2:00
[/tt]
Then your arithmetic difference will work

BTW,

FORMAT your difference result
[tt]
[h]:mm
[/tt]
this will display hours greater than 24 in a day.
