Does anyone know of an availability of an Excel template, sheet, or macro with Gantt chart like functionality similar to MS Project?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Shawn

The standard workaround is to use a stacked column chart with each item having 2 measures:
1: The total of the previous item
2: The total of the current item

You then just create a normal stacked column chart and make the lower stacks see through and borderless...

Shawn,

For a Gantt Chart, use a Stacked BAR.

The First column would be the START DATE. Typically, this would be an OFFSET to the START of the first bar and would have NO FILL or LINE. The next column would be END DATE, but this is not plotted. Instead, you need to calculate the SPAN DAYS between START & END. Plot the SPAN -- it has a FILL and/or LINE.

Format the horizontal axis as date/time.

Thanks, Skip & xlbo. I`ll try your suggestions and will let you know how I make out.

Best regards,
Shawn
