Dears
I have three cols

A B C

Col A has dates i.e. 2-Mar-03, 3-Apr-4, etc
Col B has also dates but different
Col C is empty

How can I make col C Compare Col A and B the takes the later date. For example, Assume the following:

Col A=1-May-04 and col B=2-Jan-03 then col C should have 1-May-04.

Thank you

In Cell C1 put =Max(A1,B1)

and then move to B1 and click on the Format Painter tool then click in the grey header area to Col C. ( That sets the Col C format to DATE the same as B1 is )

Then copy down the formula in C1 to all the other rows in C that need it.
