I am wondering how I can do this:
I have an excel file with 2 sheets. One has a summary, date and some numerical data from the 2nd tab. The second tab just has a bunch of stats by date.

I want to be able to change the date in the first tab and the stats get "pulled" from the second tab onto the stats line on the first tab.

I have no idea how to do this. I understand how to reference the data in the second tab, but I want to automate further and get the numerical data pulled by date change on the first tab. After all, they have the date in common (with databases I know this could be used as an id)...

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Have a look at the VLOOKUP function. I'd guess it will do what you want, but without more information about your tables layout etc., I'm only guessing.

Cheers, Glenn.
