I have a pivot table that is embedded in one of my formatted Excel spreadsheet reports. Everything is working well, except, whenever I update the pivot table, it messes up the formatting in the cells above the table (mainly the column widths).
Does anyone know how to lock the column widths on the spreadsheet so they will not resize when the pivot table is changed?

Thanks, Paul

When you set up the Pivot Table, check under Options, and uncheck the box titled "AutoFormat Table".

If it is an existing Pivot, then choose Table Options, and do the same.

My bad, it's actually a pivot chart, not a table, I did not see an "Autoformatt" option under the chart options

Thanks, Paul

You might want to try that option on the Pivot Table because the Pivot Chart is linked to that.
