Hi

I got an odd but very irritating problem with Excel 2002 (XP)

I have 5 sheets in a workbook. If I select a sheet and key a value into cell A1 the value also appears on 2 of the other sheets in cell A1. If I format the cell the formatting appears on the other sheets.

Any idea why this would happen?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Stella

Sounds like you have three sheets selected, not just one.

Perhaps one of the [Ctrl] or [Alt] keys are stuck?

Right click on one of the sheet tabs and see if Ungroup Sheets is an option.

That was my first thought but there is no grouping set.

Thanks for the input though.

So when you right click, Ungroup Sheets doesn't appear as an option?

Just making really sure here.

If not, are there any macros contained in the workbook (workbook, sheets or modules)?

Hi,

Is this a workbook that YOU created or did you get it from someone else?

If the latter, you might check to see if there is a Workbheet_Change event running VBA code.
