I am not sure if this is the forum in which I need to be asking this question but it seemed the most appropriate. I have a user that cannot perform a save as function because Excel says that it cannot locate the file idmxl8.xma. The user can save just fine but cannot Save As. This error even occurs on blank spreadsheets. I cannot figure this one out. Please Help!!!!

Excel Not Perfoming a Save As Function

Go to Tools-Addins. Uncheck all addins and try again. Sounds like there's an addin (XLA file) that's intruding. I found no such file in a search, which leads me to believe that it's a custom addin.
If that doesn't help, make sure there's nothing in the user's XLSTART folder. Anne Troy

1.) Remove all copies of IDMLX8.XLA file from PC
2.) In Excel go to TOOLS, ADDONS and uncheck-remove IDMXL8
addon if present.
3.) In Excel go to TOOLS, CUSTOMIZE, TOOLBARS, highlight
each active toolbar then
select RESET.
4.) Close EXCEL, re-open EXCEL. SAVE-AS function should
work normally.
