I've got a spreadsheet used across our office by about a dozen people. I needed to change some values, blah, blah, blah and created a macro do it. Used the macro, then deleted it. However, everyone in the office now gets a warning about macro security when they open my spreadsheet. I know they can each turn off the warning by changing their security level, but I don't want them to do that. Keeping in mind the macro no longer exists in the spreadsheet, is there anything I can do on my end? Something similar to the way you can stop the "update external links" dialogue from popping up..? I know other spreadsheets that never had macros don't give this warning, so I'm hoping there is some setting buried that lets me tell Excel there is not a macro in this particular spreadsheet. As I'm typing this it's sounding more and more improbable, but I'm hoping there's something I can do other than create a new macro-free file. Thanks!

Go into the VB Editor and delete the MODULE where the macro once lived.

Hey, that was cool... I just had the same problem but did not realize that was what caused it! Now I've removed the module and my problem is fixed too. Thanks for that.

Ken,
Only been in this forum for a couple days now, and a bit flat out at work... your suggestion has lots of merrit though. For now I'm ass deep in aligators, and trying to stay ahead of the curve, but when things settle a bit, I will give them a look, as I have found the FAQ's in other forums on this site to be infinetly useful!
Plus, in this case I didn't know what had caused the problem until I read this post, and then thought, "Hey, that same thing is happening to me!" LOL.

Best Regards,
Scott
