Excel Macro in IE

If I have an IE hyperlink that opens Excel in an IE window, Can any body point out any 'gotcha's' that I should look out for when trying to run a Macro in that Excel workbook? It seems to have trouble finding the diffrence between IE and Excel.

There is reduced functionality when you run excel via a browser, you need to be more specific in what you are trying to do in your question,
