Hi

Could you please help?

I have a v. large spreadsheet (30Mg) that is linked to several others. Problem being the formula link is a SumIF, it will only update when the other worksheets are open. Otherwise there is a #Value error message in the cell.

The formula must be created in a separate workbook and the arguements point to the large file. Have tried autostart macros to open all relevant files with no success as the files are too big. Please help :) Regards

Unfortunately, with links and particularly those that perform some sort of calculation using data from other worksheets need all the worksheets open in order to get to the data.

One option you have is to create a Workspace, which you can create by opening all the worksheets and then saving as a workspace (.xlw).
