Afternoon,

Does anyone know how to link the background of a powerpoint slide (e.g. pictures of clouds) to excel and still be able to type within the cells? I don't think it is possible.

Thanks,
Mark

If the picture is a graphics file format, you can clck Format, sheet, background, and select the file and you can still use the spreadsheet. It will not print, but will be there (looking pretty) while you edit the file. But you can't really link to a .POT (Powerpoint background) file without converting it to a graphics format (jpg, bmp, etc.)

One more questions please, that changes the backgrough for all of the sheet.

Is it possible to have more than one picture in the background on an excel sheet?

e.g. From columns A through L and down to row 34, one picture and the from rown 35 to 75 another picture?

TIA,
Mark

Not that I am aware of. But since Excel was designed originally as a businss applcation, and the background is almost purely cosmetic, its not surprising that they didn't think of that. If you need the backgrounds for presentation purposes, I sugges you use PowerPoint or a web designer type package and import your worksheet data.
