Excel hangs, when user tries to delte a comment

On one single Excel file, whenever the user tries to delete any comment in any cell, Excel just hangs and becomes totally unresponsive.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure it hangs?

Have you tried deleting a comment, say, just before lunch; walk away and come back to see if it completed?
