Hi all,

just wondering how to set a date with 10/10/2002
without having to enter / /

thanks

Could u not set up a worksheet change event such that when there is a change in particular column, u could define the number format as

Selection.NumberFormat = "dd/mm/yyyy" ?

[idea] Don't forget about the obvious....

Format the cells or column with the date format of your choice. (ie. (type) 03/34/97) . Then entering 101097 (or any) will show as 10/10/97 (or any) *Remember.......

About my previous post...

Somewhere there seems to be a bug here....

Before I posted my reply, I actually tried this using Excel97 at work and it worked as expected.

Since that time though Iget get it to work again unless its the first thing I format in a new workbook. Very ODD !!!

Will have to look at this closer with Office XP later at home. *Remember.......
If you don't use your head,
your going to have to use your feet.

Could you use a pick from list using validation or Use the Calendar in form to choose from?

Keith
