If I have one column that shows an employees hire date, how can I create a second column to calculate the number of days they have been employed based on the current date?
I generally prefer to keep my numbers stored as numbers.
Zip codes, phone numbers, ID numbers, etc. are different because there's no reason to ever do any math with them. But the number of days employed? What if you want an average or something?
krets: IMHO, you should properly format the cell and store the data as a number.
