Excel files and the network

I have a user whose Excel 2000 takes forty seconds to open the drives in the browse part when "opening", or especially when doing "Save As". The PC is a high spec Win2K pro on a Netware 6.5 network. If I disconnect a random drive this speeds things up.
No other users have this problem.

Search the Novell forums (tek-tips) for slow search drive. There was a thread very recently about that.

Normally the problem is too many files in one of his path/search drives.
