I have inherited an excel spreadsheet (Windows 2000) that has a drop down boxes that is apparently connected to information in row 19 (G19:J19). I do not think this is a combo box as the drop down arrow does not fill the entire cell and if I look at View Code while in that cell it does not list any information in it.
I wanted to change it so that it looks at the choices in G19:K19. If I add the last column it does not change anything in the drop down choices that I have for the boxes. If I copy the box somewhere else in the spreadsheet it continues to show the information for the G19:J19 so where the information is stored - it is looking at an absolute cell range. I have checked and do not find any named ranges other than the printing ranges. If I change the data in G19 that is reflected in the drop down. If I delete the information in the cell(s) it shows a blank cell but I still have the option of the information in the four columns. Properties of this cell do not show me any clues either (or at least nothing obvious to me). Any suggestions as to how I can tell what type of box this is and where I could change the information. Hope this is enough information to go.
