Hi

We are just putting in XP with excel 2003. When we use our intranet we can download reports in excel format. This works fine with windows 2000 and and excel 2000, but using XP and 2003 it seems to send the file (10 mb size) to a temporary folder and then copy accross to what you wanted it saved as. This can take up to 5 mins on the new machines. Does anyone know how to change the settings/fix this so it works as previous.

Thanks Eddie

Tried Googling it and came up with a couple of possibles maybe:-

Turn of journalling in Outlook
Other possible causes - Antivirus programs

I've 2 machines one on XP the other on 2000 and I've checked the settings. I can't find any difference, they are both on the same firewalls, virus checking, etc. There must be some setting that needs altering between the systems but I cannot find it in excel or windows. Anyone have any suggestions please.

Thanks Eddie
