Hi all..

I am entering in data a single column using a barcode reader to enter the value into the cell.

In order for me to go to the next cell below it I need to press enter and then scan the next barcode.

Is there anyway to set some formatting on the entire group of cells to indicate that once a value is scanned into the cell it will automatically move to the cell below it thus replacing the need to hit enter after every scan.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Skip, not sure about the VBA aspect of it, but can you do a search on that column for the next available blank cell and select it on some kind of change event?

Blue,

What I was trying to point out is that unless the scanner device sends a CRLF at the end of the scan, its just like entering data in a cell WITHOUT HITTING ENTER.

Excel is waiting for another keystroke! "Please send [ENTER]!"
