Hi,

Typing in text into a cell that has wrap text ticked. If I type more than the size of the cell can Excel 2002 expand the cell automatically so forgetting the row height and expanding to show all the text?

Cheers

Steve

Yes - as long as
a: you have not already explicitly set the row height
b: the cell is not "merged"

Geoff,

Funny I'm having the same issue. What is the amount of text that a cell will accept in Excel. Is it 255 char

Thanks Geoff,

I had it working when I first started the sheet, then I must have changed the row height and then it stopped working. Well I have copied the work into a new sheet and its working again. Is there a way of clearing the hieghts if these do get touched?

Thanks again

Steve

Select all rows
Format>Row>Autofit

should do the job

jrobbin - it depends on your version of excel but if you type "specification" into the help file, you should be able to find your answer
