Hi all
I have a rather niggling problem with this ancient piece of software (Excel '97 - god knows why the world leading retailer I work for insists on using NT, but there you go...).
Basically, I have used a VLOOKUP to obviously drag some info between spreadsheets, but when I autofill the formula down, the results are exactly the same as the cell I choose to use as the source for the autofilter. I have checked the formulas and they are all relevant to the row, but the results are all the same!!
However, if I go into the cell, hit "F2" to edit the cell and then press enter, the VLOOKUP seems to kick into gear for that row and the result appears correct! I have over 5,000 rows of data to do this for, so edit each cell individually is not possible.
Has anyone got any ideas? I've tried writing a macro that edits each cell and loops, but my VBA is not excellent so my attempts didn't work. I've also tried using the VALUE and TEXT functions, but to no avail either!!
PLEASE HELP!!
