I am running into problems with a macro that I have to do some formatting of a spreadsheet. It runs fine on my machine (I have Office 2003) but runs into problems on other machines (They have Office 2000). I figured out that when I record a macro, my Excel adds in extra code that the 2000 version has no idea on how the new code works. I was wondering if anyone else has come across this and what their solution was. Are there programs out there or a guide on how to change the generated code to a 2000 format. I am not a programmer that's why I recorded the macro's. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

I too have noticed this in some of my macros. All I can suggest is that you record for the OLDEST version of Excel that you have out there. This may mean keeping several versions of Excel on your development machine.

The difference I noted (the only one I remember anyway) was in the Sort statement. 2002 put an extra parameter that 97 did not recognize.
