I have another fun thing to deal with.

Type Location Desc
Phone Office 2349456754
Phone Home 2345678999
Email Corp bbre@aa.org
Email Office oops@rt.com
Email Corp1 qqq@aa.tv

What I am looking for is to get every possible combination of Type and Location and display Desc. I do not know and will never know how many types and locations will be entered.

Are you wanting to show all the combinations found in your data? A crosstab should do that. You could also make Type a group and Location a second lower-level group.

If you're wanting to show all possible combinations, even when there is no data for them, then you'll need to do a 'Mock Crosstab', with a set of running totals that accumulate for each possible combination and show zero when the data is not there.

It helps to give your Crystal version, though in this case I don't think it will make a difference.
