Event Viewer notifier

Is there a script out there that runs whether or not someone is logged in and will notify me when certain events take place in the event log and maybe even send me the event? I mean events like warnings and errors, or invalid logons and stuff. Please let me know.

You could schedule eventcombmt with a small VBS script to check periodically and then send the output in email. If you have a real large environment look at using CA Unicenter, SMS, NetIQ, or other such enterprise monitoring products.

Robomon is a application that can monitor the Event log and send SNMP traps or emails to certain people if a certain event occurs and posts to the event log. The maker of the software is heroix.
