Event Identifier?

Hi All,
Has anybody ever heard of 'event indentifiers'? Apparently every state (ACDIN, AUX) has also a numerical value called an event identifier. I am looking for these to incorporate them into Totalview. And I am totally lost here. Any help, hint, pointers much appreciated.

BIS, I found a ton of Event Identifiers in the following DOC. I could only get Rel. 5 to come up from the site but it might be a good starting block.
