I in my event veiwer I get Event ID 8020 "The computer was unable to promote itself to master browser. The Computer that currently beleives it is the master browser is uknown."

The limited info I've been able to find has all related to Domains and active directory. There is no Domain or active directory here. Any fix for this issue?

Look at all the Computers in your LAN, see if there are any connectivity problems either because of hardware or TCP/IP settings. Look at all of their Computer Browser Service in Services for any problems.
