event id 26 and related errors

When I m trying to save updated info to an exsisting file on a remote server, and after clicking "save" I get the following message issued by System Process- Lost Delayed-Write Data

and reads the following: The system was attempting to transfer file data from buffers to \File path\something.xls
The write operation failed, and only some of the data may have been written to the file.

In the event viewer I get event ID 26

printer state has changed?
does anyone know of this event or possibly have any solutions for it?
