Hi All,

I am having intermittent mail delivery. Fortunately nothing is lost but delivery is affected. Here is the error from event viewer MSExchangeDSAccess;

"Event ID 2102: Process MAD.EXE (PID=376). All Domain Controller Servers in use are not responding:
myserver.mydomain.local"

What is also strange is that exchange server can browse folders on the DC but can't ping it. I can ping other servers and workstations in the LAN with the exception of the DC. I can also ping exchange server & the DC with no problem from any other workstation or server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Scott,

I would check EventId.net

It looks as if they have several good posts regarding this error. Not to shrug off but I do not want to plagiarize someone elses work.

Rook

I hope this is helpfull.

Thanks Rook. I'm still not sure what caused the problem but I had to create a new DC/GC on the exchange server then create a reverse lookup zone on the original DC. It took all weekend to figure but all is resolved. Thanks for taking the time.

2102 means DSaccess couldn't find any domain controllers. This is a common problem when Exchange is installed on a GC. Reason #43 not to install Exchange on a DC/GC.

Thanks for the posts. Xmsre, exchange was not originally installed on a DC/GC. It was only after the problems that we created a DC/GC on the excahnge server and by creating the DC it cured the problem we were having. Thanks again.
