Does anyone know what can cause this error??? It is a Windows XP Home Edition. Thanks

Yes, I checked that site and also did a search on google, but nothing so far...
 
How often does this happen and what are you trying to do at the time?

Have you got all the latest updates including SP1 installed?

The current version of Explorer.exe is "6.0.2800.1106"
 
Yes, got all the necessary patches and explorer is the current version... she browsing network resource via vpn.
 
Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

If they don't work you could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.

so linney, you think this is a window problem??? but it only happens when she has vpn connected... all other time, window explorer is ok...
 
Sorry, I have no idea what the problem is, what I post are just ideas which may or may not help you solve the problem.

Maybe any firewall is stopping access to required ports that the VPN needs and Explorer hangs while waiting for them to open.
