My exchange server is filled with these errors and the event 1022 is for users who's account no longer exist or are disabled (i changed the user to "username" in the error sample). Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these errors?

This is an SMTP protocol log for virtual server ID 1, connection #794. The client at "212.17.91.108" sent a "ehlo" command, and the SMTP server responded with "501 5.5.4 Invalid Address ". The full command sent was "ehlo | This will probably cause the connection to fail.

I have had some issues like this but after I ran the various anti-spam, advanced smtp settings they stopped as part of this was filtering out old / non-existant email addresses.

I found the following website very helpful:

The instructions were very clear and has helped me out no end. theres even a "Filter Out Mail to Non-Existent Users" guide which should help no end!

Enjoy...
