I am running Secure Content Manager 1.0 for spam control, and Exchange server 2000. The Exchange server is relay secure, proven so when tested locally. I have remote users who need to use the server for their smtp address and the server is configured to relay for authenticated users, and the users are configured to authenticate to the smtp server.

However, when I enable relay protection in SCM it does NOT allow my users to send mail. If I turn it off, then can send mail but my server now shows as an open relay.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Mike

I had the same issue. In SCM under settings, subnets, you have to add the IP (public) of the remote users who need to relay.

Hey,
The suggestion Mike spilt is good - however, you can configure your remote mail clients to point their SMTP server to Exchange. Once this is done, configure your exchange for smarthost which points to SCM.
ETrust Secure Content Manager ROCKS :)
Hope this helps!!!
