ok here is the situation. I have 1 option 11 running 25.4 with the dual ethernet daughterboard on the ssc. i have another option 11 with only the ssc and 1 port ethernet daughterboard. I have connected the remote site up to ower network and i have put in IP address manually. I can see it on the network and I can ping it. I'm having trouble with getting the main cabinet on the network. I have a few questions.

1) when programming ipm i have the ethernet on the top rj-45 port, but that is the second duaghterboard on this ssc. i already have 1 for fiber reciever cards so that is ports 1,3. so the question that i'm wondering is when i program IPM in LD 117 do i go like this CHG IPM 3 (mac)(ip)(subnet). just wondering if I put in the port 3 or what.

2) when i'm programming IPR, do i also program on port 3 or what port should i be programming

thanks

CHG IPM x ip mask Changes the IP connectivity configuration associated with
the main cabinet end of the specified port, where:
• x = port number of the main cabinet to which the
expansion cabinet is connected = 1-4
• ip = Internet Protocol address = x.x.x.x where x is
an integer in the range 0-255, inclusive
• mask = subnet mask = x.x.x.x where x is an
interger in the range 0-255, inclusive
*************************************************
CHG IPR x mac ip mask Change the IP connectivity configuration data associated
with the IP Expansion cabinet end of the specified port,
where:
• x = port number of the main cabinet to which the
expansion cabinet is connected = 1-4
• mac = MAC address obtained from the sticker on
the IP daughterboard mounted on the IP
Expansion SSC = xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx where x is a
hexidecimal digit in the range 0-F
• ip = Internet Protocol address = x.x.x.x where x is
an integer in the range 0-255, inclusive
• mask = subnet mask = x.x.x.x where x is an
interger in the range 0-255, inclusive

this should answer your ?

You should have your dual daughter board on the top of the main ssc port 1 & 3 and on your remote daughter board (single port) on the bottom of the ssc.

also check and make sure your mac address is correct in programming.

hope this helps

thanks for the help vztech. one more questions. does it have to be on ports 1,3 in the main cabinet because I already have 2 expansion cabinets on ports 1,3 and i don't want to change them unless i have to because of a lot of programming.

thanks

Second dauhter board is 2 and 4 yes can use 2 or 4 depending on which port you connect the ethernet cable to. This will be the daughter board on the bottom of the main ssc card.
