Dear All,

When running an offline defrag:

1. This run against the entire storage group, and not only a mailbox database within a SG, right?

2. The Microsoft Exchange Information Store has to be stopped as well as the SMTP service, or the entire IIS Admin
service?

3. Is it possible to do this remotely via Terminal Services admin mode?

No just the dismount the store..those services don't need to be stopped. just go to your server..and right click our mailbox and public store and dismount them..then do your defrag..i always do it via TS.
