I remember coming across a program that can be used in DOS to send email through Exchange Server 2000 (not sure if it worked with Outlook 2000...don't remember).

Why I ask is, before we migrated to Exchange Server 2000, we were using cc:Mail 8.2. There was an export utility where you could send an email through dos. This was usued with a COBOL program.

Does anyone know of a product that will accomplish what I need. I wish I had remembered and downloaded the utility that I found.

Thanks for your help.

Nick

Certainly with Exchange 5.5 you could use telnet. Is that what you want or do you want a physical DOS based app?

DOS based app would be nice. I am not all that familiar with Telnet. If telnet would work, I guess I could use that, if it is easy enough.

Thanks

Check out technet on sending emails to an exchange server via telnet.
