ES 9.5.700 -- changing line dates 1

Good evening....

Anyone using ES v9.5.700 and utilizing the ability to change the required ship date on line items by changing the ship date at the header level?

We utilize POP and pull items a great deal. We absolutely love the new functionality where it isn't necessary to touch the line items to update the dates....however, one unfinished thing we've noticed is that the start date/due date on the generated production orders does not get updated. Has anyone else run into that and did I miss something somewhere to have those updated as well?

First I would write this up as a bug and see if Exact agrees with you.

Secondly do you own Flexibility? This would be an easy fix with Flexibility.

Reported it to Exact a couple days ago. Since I don't have a support contract, not sure if I will get a confirmation on it or not.

We do own flexibility...just curious as to how you would design the fix? I suppose in the Save event, you read in the order number and then look for the mfg_ord_no on all the line items and update if the header ship_date is different?

Also...we stumbled across another "bug"...if you have more than 1 page of line items, only the first page gets updated with the new date. We had to go in and manually change the other lines.

You don't need a support contract to report a bug, but you do have t pay annual maintenance. You can also report it through your reseller.

I'd report that second bug too. That is crazy, I have no idea why you would program a change to correct only the first page. It would require extra work to do this.

Hey Don...

I did receive confirmation from the Exact support team that these have been identified as bugs. So hopefully, they will get in the development cycle soon.

41.828.750 is the product issue for the POP orders.

41.828.989 is the product issue for a second problem we found...only the first "page" of line items get changed

Thanks. That 2nd bug blows my mind, the SQL statement to limit the update to only the first page of line items would be more complex than the "right" SQL statement.
